Is it really Essential?

I've dabbled in essential oils for many years now. It began when I decide to create one of my favorite products 'Spirit Spritzers'. It was really a fun creative process that expanded my knowledge of these amazing oils that have been around for a very long time. After all essential oils were mankind's first medicine. There are 188 references to essential oils in the Bible.* The three wise men presented essential oils of frankincense and myrrh to the newborn Jesus.

Through the world of development and technology man has created many other forms of medicine but somehow the world is coming back to natural forms. I didn't really take them seriously until the day my bichon, Jeter was diagnosed with lung cancer. When I recalled an amazing discussion with a customer in my store that had been diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor and given six months to live. Well it had been four years since her diagnosis. The doctor's were beyond amazed with the miracle of her tumor basically disappearing. Of course our discussion involved the use of essential oils as part of her treatment as well as some good ole' fashioned prayer. Her oil of choice Frankincense. Hmm. So when I was told the Jeter had lung cancer I began to give them a second thought.

I dove right into more research on the use of oils with our pets and decided to give Frankincense a try. I've got nothing to lose and everything to gain. I began using the oils on Jeter, placing the oil on the tumor locations, rubbing it into the pads of his paws and then tried to get him to inhale from my hands, He didn't like that at all, lol. Jeter was with us for a year and half following his diagnosis versus the two to fourth months the doctors said we had. Of course love and prayer were a huge part of the treatments but together I truly believe it gave us more time to love on him.

During this treatment time I realized that using the oils were benefiting myself as well. I hadn't had my yearly dose of bronchitis. I hadn't had a cold. I began to realize it may have had something to do with the oils. I decided to test this out. Every time I feel the sniffles come along, a scratchy throat or any other on sight sign of an illness, I pull out my Frankincense, place a few drops in the palm of my hands, rub them together, cup my hands over my nose and mouth and inhale a few times. 3 years later, still no cold, no strep, no bronchitis. It's an amazing antiseptic.

The benefits of this oil go beyond a bacterial killer! It's also an anti inflammatory and I use it on my sore muscles, tendinitis, arthritis and so much more! It really is my number one choice of essential oils which to me makes it totally essential to have in your medicine cabinet.
